The Future Foundation School

The Future Foundation School stands as a testament to a visionary approach to education, drawing inspiration from the profound philosophies of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Initiated by the revered engineer and trustee of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Shri Pradyot Kumar Bhattacharya, and later steered by Smt. Joya Mitter, an ardent devotee and cultural enthusiast, the school was established in 1981. Modeled after the Gurukul system of ancient India, it embodies timeless wisdom in a contemporary setting.

Following the transition in leadership after Smt. Joya Mitter's passing in 1999, Shri Ranjan Mitter assumed the role of Principal, leading a transformative journey for the school over the past two decades. Evolving from its precursor, Arun Nursery, blessed by The Mother herself, The Future Foundation School has flourished under the guidance of Shri Arun Tagore, a respected lawyer of the illustrious Tagore family lineage.

Rooted in the ethos of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture, this co-educational institution has adopted English as its medium of instruction. Affiliated with the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, the school diligently prepares its students for the ICSE and ISC examinations, ensuring a robust academic foundation.

Beyond academic pursuits, The Future Foundation School envisions a future-focused education deeply entrenched in cultural roots. From its humble origins, it has ascended to become a premier educational establishment in South Kolkata, offering a holistic educational experience that blends tradition with forward-looking ideals.

At its core, The Future Foundation School epitomizes a commitment to academic excellence, cultural immersion, and a forward-looking pedagogy, nurturing students to become well-rounded individuals equipped to navigate the challenges of tomorrow's world.
