- With Regulatory Authorities: We may share vendor data with government authorities if required by law to comply with regulatory obligations.
Note: Vendors will not receive any personal or sensitive data related to students, parents, or schools using the Vidyalo platform.

- Access Control: Only authorized personnel have access to vendor data, with permissions based on roles and necessity.

Vidyalo retains vendor data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. Retention periods include:
- Account Information: Retained for as long as the vendor account remains active on Vidyalo’s platform or as long as per government policy.
- Promotional and Usage Data: Retained as long as necessary for performance analysis and platform improvement, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymized.
Upon request, we will delete vendor data following the termination of the account, subject to any legal obligations.
Data Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting vendor information, Vidyalo will notify affected vendors promptly as required by the DPDP Act. Our response plan includes:
- Containment: Immediate action to prevent further unauthorized access.
- Investigation: Identification of the breach source and impact on data security.
- Notification: Affected vendors will be informed of the breach details, including any compromised data and recommended steps to minimize risks.
Vendor Rights
In accordance with the DPDP Act, vendors have the following rights regarding their data on Vidyalo’s platform:
- Right to Access: Vendors can request access to the data Vidyalo holds about their business which has been captured in Vidyalo’s platform.
- Right to Rectification: Vendors can correct inaccuracies or update business details.
- Right to Erasure: Vendors may request deletion of their data, except where retention is required by law.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Vendors can withdraw consent for certain data processing activities, though this may impact the functionality of their listings.
- Right to Object: Vendors may object to certain types of data processing that do not align with their business interests.

Data Transfer Outside India

- Service-related content: promotional material such as descriptions, offers, discounts, or coupons that you choose to provide for display on Vidyalo
- Platform usage data: account login details, history of interactions on the platform, service listings, response rates, and engagement analytics
Why We Collect Your Data
We process vendor information in order to:
- List and showcase your services to students, parents, and schools on the Vidyalo platform
- Create, verify, and manage your vendor account and profile, including communications with you

Data Retention

Once your account is terminated or your data is no longer required for these purposes, we will securely delete or anonymize it, except where longer retention is required by law.
