• With Users: Business information and contact details are visible to parents, guardians and platform users searching for vendor services on Vidyalo’s platform.

• With Regulatory Authorities: We may share vendor data with government authorities if required by law to comply with regulatory obligations.

Note: Vendors will not receive any personal or sensitive data related to students, parents, or schools using the Vidyalo platform.

Upon request, we will delete vendor data following the termination of the account, subject to any legal obligations.

• Notification: Affected vendors will be informed of the breach details, including any compromised data and recommended steps to minimize risks.

Vendor Rights

In accordance with the DPDP Act, vendors have the following rights regarding their data on Vidyalo’s platform:

• Right to Access: Vendors can request access to the data Vidyalo holds about their business which has been captured in Vidyalo’s platform.
• Right to Rectification: Vendors can correct inaccuracies or update business details.
• Right to Erasure: Vendors may request deletion of their data, except where retention is required by law.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Vendors can withdraw consent for certain data processing activities, though this may impact the functionality of their listings.
• Right to Object: Vendors may object to certain types of data processing that do not align with their business interests.

Data Transfer Outside India

If vendor data is transferred outside India, it will only be transferred to countries deemed “trusted” by the Indian government. Vidyalo takes steps to ensure that data is protected according to Indian data protection standards.
