St. Anthony's Day School Jalpaiguri

Established in the annals of history back in 1863, St. Anthony's High School stands as a venerable institution within the purview of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Calcutta. Embracing the constitutional rights bestowed upon religious and linguistic minorities (Act 29 and 30), the Catholic Archdiocese of Kolkata proudly holds the mantle as the founder body of this esteemed establishment. This English medium school for boys embodies a commitment to academic excellence, offering the West Bengal Board examinations - Madhyamik Pariksha under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) and, since 20th May 2015, the Uchho Madhyamik Pariksha under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE). Catering to students from classes 1 to 12, it holds a unique distinction as one of the select schools providing English as a first language under the Board's purview. The school's curriculum stands as a testament to its holistic approach, weaving a tapestry of subjects that include Religious Instructions (for Catholics), Moral Science (for Non-Catholics), and Value Education (for all), mandated as compulsory subjects. Additionally, the institution extends a diverse array of optional subjects such as Handicrafts, Choral Singing, Computer Science, among others. These optional subjects serve as pathways for students to explore their interests and develop multifaceted skills beyond the confines of traditional academics. Beyond the pursuit of scholarly endeavors, St. Anthony's High School nurtures an environment where values, ethics, and skills amalgamate to shape individuals equipped not only for academic success but also for the challenges and opportunities that await them in the broader spectrum of life.
