Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya JNV Berhumpur

Established in 2003, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Berhampore, Murshidabad (WB) embarked on its educational journey with a modest start, welcoming 36 eager learners on January 2nd, 2004, at its temporary site at K.N. College Main Hostel, Cantonment Road. Guided by the esteemed leadership of Sh. Monoj Panth, IAS, and Mr. S.C. Das, PGT Biology as Incharge Principal, the Vidyalaya embarked on a mission to nurture young minds.

The transition to its permanent site, spanning 12.72 acres of land behind N.C.C quarters at Station Road, near Swarnomoyee Market in Berhampore, marked a significant milestone on August 2nd, 2010. Here, the Vidyalaya commenced its senior secondary journey, offering Science Stream and Vocational Stream in Hospitality and Tourism, catering to the diverse aspirations of its student body.

At Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Berhampore, academic excellence is coupled with a holistic approach to education. Students are equipped with a robust curriculum encompassing subjects ranging from English, Hindi, and Bengali to Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Additionally, emphasis is placed on extracurricular pursuits such as Art, Music, Dance, and Physical Education, fostering all-round development.

Driven by a commitment to equity and excellence, the Vidyalaya strives to mold students into physically fit, mentally agile, emotionally balanced, and morally upright individuals, instilling in them a sense of global citizenship.
