Hirendra Leela Patranavis School

Established in 1954 by the visionary duo Late Hirendra Nath Patranavis and Late Leela Patranavis, the school embarked on its educational journey with humble beginnings. Starting in a rented house at 4A, Nandy Street, Kolkata–700 019, with a small group of teachers and just 15 students, its evolution was marked by dedication and perseverance.

A significant transition occurred in 1986 when the school shifted to the premises at under the ownership of Late Leela Patranavis. Achieving affiliation from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in 1988 marked a pivotal milestone.

Further expansions led to the Primary and Secondary Sections relocating to a new commenced in the new premises in 1999, marking a phase of advanced education.

With around students,   dedicated teachers, and  supporting staff, the school now offers education from Nursery to XII, providing three distinct streams of study – Commerce, Humanities, and Science – in the ISC Section.

Celebrating 60 illustrious years in the realm of education in 2015, the school has remained steadfast in its commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering academic excellence.
