Founded in December 1959, Gyan Bharati Society has stood as a beacon of educational excellence in North Kolkata for over five decades. Upholding the ethos of truth as the cornerstone of education, our journey began with the laying of the foundation stone by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Vice President of India at the time, who articulated the fundamental doctrine of our institution. Over the years, Gyan Bharati has flourished, culminating in the grand Silver Jubilee celebrations inaugurated by Shri Zail Singh, former President of India, in 1986.

Marking a significant milestone in our illustrious history, the Golden Jubilee celebrations in February 2012 were graced by esteemed dignitaries including Shri B. K. Birla and Dr. Sarala Birla, prominent industrialists, along with Sri M. K. Narayanan, the then Governor of West Bengal. Under the umbrella of Gyan Bharati Society, four distinguished units stand tall, each dedicated to the dissemination of quality education:

While English serves as the medium of instruction for the latter two units, both Hindi and English mediums are offered in the former two. Committed to holistic education, Gyan Bharati Vidyalaya (English Medium) and Gyan Bharati Prathamik Vidyalaya provide co-educational platforms nurturing young minds for academic excellence and personal growth.
