Delhi Public School Megacity

Our institution stands as an eminent chapter in the illustrious saga of the Delhi Public School Society, an education legacy that traces back to 1949. Formed under the visionary guidance of Dr. Sarvapally Radhakrishnan, then Vice President of India, our foundation stone was laid at Mathura Road, New Delhi. The DPS Society, a non-profit entity, has perpetually pursued educational excellence and altruism, propagating values across the nation.

Within this expansive global network of over 200 English medium, co-educational, and secular schools, the DPS Family encapsulates not just a roster of educational institutions but an embodiment of values, ethos, and interwoven relationships. For more than six decades, this society has evolved with a steadfast spirit and a foresighted vision, emerging as a bastion of learning, nurturing young minds, and fostering quality education.

From its inception in the President’s Estate in 1941 as Church High School to its current location on Mathura Road, DPS has navigated an illustrious journey. The genesis of DPS during India’s independence in 1947 marked a pivotal moment, a step toward fulfilling a national educational need. The growth and expansion from DPS Mathura Road to DPS RK Puram and beyond underscore the society's resilience and commitment to excellence.

The DPS Family, akin to the traditional joint family system, encompasses stalwart institutions that have earned global recognition while integrating the experience and advancements of their counterparts. Together, these institutions epitomize some of India's most formidable bastions of education, blending heritage with innovation, and embodying a commitment to academic rigor and holistic development.
