Assembly Of God Church School Asansol

The academic journey of the A.G. Church School at Asansol reflects a rich history of dedication and progress. From its humble beginnings in 1963 under the guidance of Rev. & Mrs. W.G. Long, the school steadily evolved, led by remarkable individuals who shaped its educational legacy.

In its initial phase, the school, initiated with a single nursery classroom, soon expanded under the relentless efforts of its founders. The Longs' departure in December 1975 marked the end of an era defined by their selfless service spanning over 40 years.

Subsequent years witnessed pivotal developments. The period under Ms. Hudson and Mrs. A. Aidinyantz saw substantial growth, with the school accommodating more students and expanding its academic curriculum up to Class X. Achieving government recognition and affiliation to the Council for the ICSE Examination marked significant milestones in the school's academic journey.

The leadership transition in 1987, from Mrs. E. John to Mrs. P. Malvea, signified another chapter of progress. Mrs. Malvea's visionary leadership from 1987 to 2009 elevated the school's academic standards. Her tenure saw remarkable achievements, including the attainment of top scores in academics and success in various other fields.

Mrs. E. John's dedicated service deserves recognition, leading to the establishment of the Esther John Memorial Inter School Girls Basketball Tournament, a testament to her commitment to the institution.

Throughout its history, the school has been blessed with exceptional leaders, each contributing significantly to its academic growth and fostering an environment of excellence. As the institution moves forward under new leadership, the contributions of these esteemed individuals remain integral to its legacy of academic distinction and holistic development.
