Assembly Of God Church Ukhra

Established in 1980, The Assembly of God Church School, Ukhra, has been a pillar of academic excellence and character building in the remote coal belt area. Affiliated to the Council for ISC examinations, New Delhi since 1998, the school offers Higher Secondary Courses in Science, Commerce, and Humanities. Under the visionary leadership of Mrs. U Rao, the school thrives with a mission to provide quality education, instill moral values, and shape students into responsible citizens.

With a strength of 1950 students, 75 teaching staff, and 28 group D staff members, the school stands as a beacon of progress and enthusiasm. The introduction of vocational subjects like Computer Science, Physical Education, and Home Science adds breadth to the students' educational experience.

The school's journey began in 1978, evolving from a humble start in a bungalow provided by Eastern Coalfields Limited authorities. Over the years, it has undergone transformations, reaching new heights under the leadership of Late A K Malvea and Mrs. P Malvea. Despite challenges, the school has flourished, and with ongoing expansion projects, including a new annexe building and development plans for a larger playground, it stands as a leading educational institution. The Assembly of God Church School, Ukhra, remains dedicated to shaping students into brand ambassadors and responsible citizens, living up to its vision and mission.
