The West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has implemented minor revisions to the syllabus for select subjects in Classes 11 and 12. The updated syllabus is available for download on the official WBCHSE website at wbchse.wb.gov.in. According to the official notification, the syllabus for the following subjects has been updated by the council in response to suggestions from various stakeholders:

• English A

• Alternative English

• Bengali A

• Hindi A

• Hindi B

• History

• Political Science

• Accountancy

• Costing and Taxation

• Business Studies

• Education

• Science of Well-being

• Statistics

• Philosophy

• Environmental Studies

• Economics

• Geography

• Biological Science

According to a notice signed by WBCHSE President Dr. (Prof.) Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, all forthcoming changes will take effect from the next academic year. The notice further indicated that adjustments to the subjects mentioned will be included in the 4th Edition of the syllabus book.

Additionally, relevant modifications will be made in the next version of the Model Question Papers published by the council. It is important to note that the revisions to the Class XI syllabus outlined in the latest notice will not impact students currently preparing for the Class XI Semester 2 examination.

Meanwhile, WBCHSE has announced an extension of the online enrollment date for the HS Exam 2025. The deadline for West Bengal Class 12th online enrollment has been pushed to December 21, 2024.

Furthermore, the WBCHSE HS practical exams are presently underway and will conclude on December 20, 2024. Candidates who have already passed the practical examination in the previous year are not required to appear again.
