NEET UG 2024 Counseling, Final Result Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the revised final results for NEET UG 2024. Subsequently, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) and other state counseling authorities will commence the counseling process for undergraduate admissions. The NEET UG final results will be announced on exams.nta.ac.in, and the AIQ NEET counseling schedule will be published on mcc.nic.in. Previously, the National Testing Agency stated that the NEET UG counseling is expected to commence on July 24. The Supreme Court, after dismissing pleas for a NEET UG re-test and cancellation of the results, has instructed the NTA to revise its merit list by considering the answer suggested by a panel of three experts from IIT Delhi to a controversial physics question as the correct one.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) acknowledged two different options as correct answers to a Physics question and awarded full marks to candidates who chose either of the two options. Following the directives of the Supreme Court, only those candidates whose answers align with the assessment of experts from IIT Delhi (option 4) will receive 4 marks. Conversely, those who selected the answer based on the old NCERT textbook (option 2) will have 5 marks deducted from their NEET UG 2024 scores. This decision will impact the ranking of over 4 lakh candidates, including 44 NEET UG 2024 toppers who were granted grace marks for this question. Quoting the top court's order, "In consideration of the experts' evaluation, we have complete confidence in declaring the correct option... we accept the IIT Delhi report. Consequently, the NTA is directed to recalculate the NEET UG results, recognizing option 4 as the sole correct answer to the question." NEET UG counselling for 2024 is anticipated to commence from July 24, along with frequently asked questions about all India quota admissions. Rejecting pleas for a re-test and result annulment, the bench of the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandra Hud stated that the available evidence did not indicate a widespread leak of the question paper or compromise in the integrity of the exam. "At this juncture, there is insufficient evidence to demonstrate that the exam results were compromised or that there was systemic misconduct during the exam," remarked the Chief Justice.
