The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer key for the NEET UG 2025 examination in the coming days. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to view and download the provisional answer key by visiting the official NTA website: neet.nta.nic.in.

As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding the exact release date of the provisional answer key. However, based on trends from previous years, its publication is anticipated within this week. The NEET UG 2025 examination was held on May 4.

To provide context, in NEET UG 2024, which took place on May 5, the provisional key was made available on May 29—24 days after the exam. Similarly, for NEET UG 2023, conducted on May 7, the key was released on June 4, marking a 28-day interval between the examination and the publication of the answer key.

Preliminary feedback from examinees and subject matter experts suggests that the 2025 edition of the NEET UG examination was notably more rigorous compared to its predecessors. Approximately 22.7 lakh students registered for the test, reflecting a decrease from the 24 lakh registrants in the previous year.

A significant portion of the student body reported that the examination was more time-intensive and conceptually challenging. Experts observed that the structure of the questions aligned with the pre-pandemic format, with increased difficulty especially noted in the Physics and Chemistry sections. This heightened level of complexity may result in a lower number of top scorers compared to previous years.
