The CBSE Board has announced that the practical exams for Class 10th and 12th will commence on January 1, 2025. In addition, the board has provided guidelines for the uploading of marks.

CBSE 2025 Exams: The CBSE has announced that each subject will have a maximum of 100 marks, allocated among theory, practical, project, and internal assessment components.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the dates for the Class 10 and Class 12 practical exams for the 2025 board exams. The practical exams, project works, and internal assessments for the 2024-25 academic session will take place from January 1, 2025, for all CBSE-affiliated schools in India and abroad. The theory exams will commence from February 15, 2025. However, we are still awaiting the complete CBSE datesheet.

The board has also released a list of Class 10 and 12 subjects along with their marks distribution to assist schools in smoothly conducting practical exams. The circular was issued after the board observed errors in schools' uploading of internal marks.

The details provided by CBSE include class, subject code, subject name, maximum marks for theory exam, maximum marks for practical exam, maximum marks for project assessment, and maximum marks for internal assessment. The circular also specifies whether an external examiner will be appointed for CBSE practical exam assessment, whether practical answer-books will be provided to the students, and the type of answer books that will be used in the theory exams.

CBSE has stated that the maximum marks allotted to a subject will be 100, with marks distributed among theory, practical, project, and internal assessment components. The CBSE circular also includes a statement: "All are requested to take note of the information and act accordingly to avoid any inconvenience to the students at a later stage. It is also essential to ensure the accurate uploading of marks, as once uploaded, they will not be changed."

CBSE winter-bound schools will organize practical exams from November 5 to December 5, 2024. For conducting Practical Examinations/IA and Board Annual Theory Examinations for Classes X and XII in these schools, CBSE has released Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs) and a set of guidelines. CBSE has noticed improper distribution of marks to students in their Practical/Project/Internal Assessment.

To assist schools in conducting smooth Practical/Project/Internal Assessments and theory examinations, CBSE has provided a detailed list of subjects for both classes 10th and 12th, containing the following details:

- Class
- Subject Code

- Subject Name- Maximum Marks Theory Examination- Maximum Marks Practical Examination
- Maximum Marks Project Assessment

Along with the announcement of dates for the practical exams and annual examinations, CBSE has also released the subject-wise marks distribution for classes 10th and 12th. CBSE has advised all the schools to carefully distribute marks to students as per their performance. Avoid errors while uploading practical marks to students, as once these marks are submitted no changes can be made. However, these marks significantly affect the students' overall performance. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the maximum marks allotted to each subject to be 100, with the distribution of marks into theory, practical, project, and IA components given in the details mentioned.
