The AICTE Pragati Scholarship for the year offers a total of 5,000 scholarships to female scholars. The scholarship amount details are as follows: Selected students will receive ₹50,000 annually as a lump sum to cover college fees, purchase of books, equipment, laptops and software, and desktops.
To be Eligible Candidates to Apply for Pragati Scholarship:
Applicants must be admitted to the first year or second year (via lateral entry only) of a technical diploma/degree program at an AICTE-approved college or institute in the current academic year through the centralized admission process of the State/Central Government.
Up to two females per family can apply for the scholarship. - The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed ₹8,00,000 during the preceding financial year. (Please note: If the applicant is married, the income of parents or in-laws is considered, whichever is higher.)
How to Apply?
To assist applicants with the application process, AICTE allows them to complete the Pragati scholarship application form via the NSP Portal.
Follow the steps below to complete the application form:
Applicants need to first register on the NSP Portal by clicking on the ‘New Registration’ button.
Carefully read the guidelines and provide all the required details to complete the registration.
After successful registration, applicants will receive an application ID and password on their registered mobile number.
Next, candidates need to log in to the NSP Portal using their application ID and password to fill out the Pragati application form.
Applicants will be prompted to change their password, which is a mandatory step.
Then, applicants are required to complete the scholarship application form.
Finally, candidates must upload scanned copies of the necessary documents and submit the application form.
The selection process for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship is based on the merit displayed by the applicants in the qualifying examination for admission into a technical course at an AICTE-approved college or institution. When selecting candidates for the Pragati Scholarship, 15% of the total seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 27% for OBC candidates.
The Pragati Scholarship comes with certain terms and conditions that candidates need to be aware of. Here are the key points regarding the Pragati Scholarship terms and conditions:
Only students who have enrolled in the first year of a degree or diploma program in the current academic year are eligible to apply.
Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of their passport-size photo and signature in JPG/JPEG format. The photo should not exceed 200 kb, and the signature should not exceed 50 kb in file size.
Students admitted through the management quota are not eligible for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship.
Applicants must possess a general savings account in a bank; FRILL/Minor/Joint accounts are not acceptable.
The scholarship amount is transferred directly to the selected candidate's bank account using the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
In the absence of eligible applicants in any degree or diploma program, the scholarships are transferable between programs.
