NEET UG Results 2025: Ahmedabad Boy Bhavya Jha Secures AIR 8, Sets Sights on AIIMS-New Delhi

Bhavya Jha, an Ahmedabad resident, achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 8 in the NEET UG 2025 examination, scoring a percentile of 99.9996379. In an interview with indianexpress.com after the results were announced on June 14 by the National Testing Agency, Bhavya shared, “I knew I needed to score well in NEET UG 2025, but I wasn’t focused on achieving an All India Rank while preparing.”

Candidates who took the national-level medical exam can check their results on the official website: neet.nta.nic.in.

Bhavya, who successfully passed the medical entrance test on his first attempt, began preparing for NEET UG in Class 11. His dream has always been to walk the corridors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Now, at 18 years old, he feels confident that he will achieve this goal.

Bhavya credited his brother, Sarvagya Jha, who is currently an intern at GMERS Medical College in Sola, Ahmedabad, as his main source of motivation. “My brother is my biggest inspiration in the medical field. He helped me with notes and guided me through the challenges I might face, encouraging me even during times when I struggled with mock tests,” he explained.

Unlike many medical aspirants who drop a year or switch to open schools to concentrate on NEET UG, Bhavya managed to balance his studies with regular school attendance. As a day scholar, he said, “The key was time management. After school, I completed my assignments and homework, then attended offline coaching at the Allen Institute. After classes, I revised what we learned and practiced questions.”

Attending school was a refreshing break for him, allowing him to interact with peers and play volleyball, a sport that helped clear his mind.

For Bhavya, AIIMS, New Delhi, is the ultimate goal, as it is a highly coveted institution for NEET aspirants. “In my opinion, AIIMS is the best medical institute for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses due to the exceptional faculty. Their experience and knowledge are unparalleled. I have heard teachers describe the AIIMS environment as supportive, providing practical and ground-level exposure to MBBS students,” he stated. If not AIIMS, his second choice would be the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER).

When asked if he felt he was missing out on fun activities due to his NEET UG preparation routine, Bhavya replied, “No, I never felt like I was missing out. I knew that by working hard for two years, I would be able to achieve more than what my friends were doing at that time.” Notably, he also mentioned that he does not have a social media account.
